Law.com has a point (via Opera Watch), there is no excuse not to test your site so that it works on all major browsers counting in Safari and Opera. This should really be in the backbone of web developers.
In the era we live now, there is and there won't be a winner of the browser "wars". Even though IE is at the moment the clear market share leader, I am fairly sure that if we counted market share based on usage of advanced services or social networking sites, the shares would look clearly different.
As we continue forward, this will be even more relevant as the different browsers are carving their certain niche (Firefox with compatibility, Opera with Performance, Safari with something between), and people are already using more than one browser everyday for different web behavior.
